Appointment Prep

Congratulations! Your appointment is booked and you're on your way to bold, beautiful brows. There are some things you need to know before your appointment in order to have the best possible experience.

Here's how you can prepare for your microblading appointment:

As soon as you book

Start looking for your ideal brow shape and color if you don't have something already in mind. If you need inspiration, you can look at my previous work on my Instagram. If you see something you like, make sure to bring reference photos with you to your appointment.

The Month Before

Exfoliation from sun exposure will result in loss of pigment. Clients should avoid heavy sun exposure and tanning beds for 30 days before (and after!) the treatment. Clients who arrive at their appointment with a sunburn or fresh tan will need to reschedule their appointment and forfeit their deposit.

You should also discontinue using Retinol/Vitamin A products on your face one month before treatment.

Clients should not have botox treatments or any type of facial/peel at least four weeks before their appointment.

The Week Before

If you regularly thread, wax, pluck, or tint your brows, make sure to do so at least five days before your appointment.

We ask clients avoid blood thinning medications (Prescription blood-thinners, Aspirin, Niacin, Ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil supplements, etc;) for at least three days before their appointment. (Note: Clients who have taken prescription Accutane must wait at least one year after stopping medication before they are eligible for the procedure).

The Day Before

Don't drink any alcohol in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment, and limit your caffeine consumption.

The Day Of your procedure

Don't exercise the day of your appointment, as increased blood flow, sweat, and oil production could weaken your results.

If you regularly fill in your eyebrows with makeup, feel free to do so. This helps me get a feel for the way you regularly wear your brows. I schedule enough time during your appointment to consult with you about your preferences for brow shape and intensity – we won't start the procedure until we've found your perfect shape and size.

Please arrive five to ten minutes early for your appointment.
